International Women’s Day Celebrated

Amritsar, March 9 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Police Commissionerate Amritsar organized programme on International Women’s Day in the Kalgidhar auditorium of Sri Guru Harkrishan Sr. Sec. Public School G.T Road Amritsar to recognize the contribution and significance of women. The programme was organized on the theme of ‘Stress and diseases are occurring in women and its prevention’ by Police Commissionerate Amritsar. The programme commenced with school shabhad to seek the blessings of Almighty. It was followed by a PPT presentation by Mrs. Poonam Sharma, A.S.I, Resource person discussing the disease of cancer and prevention in women. Apart from this, various initiatives for the welfare of women, especially prevention of stress at workplace were discussed by Mrs. Ramandeep Kaur (Mahla Mitar helpline coordinator). Prof. Hari Singh, Member Incharge, G.T. Road School appreciated the marvellous feminine energy and greatness of women in every sphere of life. Dr. Dharam Veer Singh, Principal / Director inspired every woman to contribute to building a story society and nation. S. Hardeep Singh Inspector PCR Kabal Singh and  Kawaljit Singh, ASI were also present on this occasion. Headmistresses Mrs. Renu Ahuja, Mrs. Nischint Kahlon, Mrs. Kawalpreet Kaur, Mrs. Ravinder Narula, Mrs. Kiranjot Kaur and Mrs. Manwinder Bhullar, Mrs. Sukhjit Kaur and Mrs. Prabhjot Kaur were honoured on the occasion of International Women’s Day. Esteemed Guests present on the occasion were also honoured. President Nirmal Singh and Hony. Secy. Swinder Singh Kathunangal also congtraluated the participants on this occasion.
