Vice- Chancellor launched GNDU Alumni Society Portal

Amritsar March 31 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The Vice- Chancellor, Professor (Dr.) Jaspal Singh Sandhu launched the G.N.D.U. Alumni Society Portal here today. The alumni, general public & organizations based in India can donate to the alumni society in an online mode. Vice-Chancellor Prof. Sandhu said that the contribution will be used to support the underprivileged students, organize lecture series, support research projects and create new infrastructure in the university.

                Prof. Karanjeet Singh Kahlon, Registrar, Prof. Sarbjot Singh Behl, OSD (Vice-Chancellor Office), Prof. Atul Khanna, Dean Alumni,   Dr. Rajesh Kalia, Deputy Registrar (Finance), Sh. Ramesh  Ahluwalia, Consultant (Colleges), Sh. Bhupender Singh and Tirath Singh from Centre of IT Solutions of the University were also present during the inauguration ceremony of the online portal.

                       Prof. Atul Khanna said that the G.N.D.U Alumni Society, has got itself registered with the Registrar of Societies and the donors to the Alumni Society will get tax exemption benefits under section 80G of the Income Tax Act.
