DAV Public School organises Seminar on Road Safety

Amritsar, August 11 (Punjab Post Bureau) – DAV Public School Lawrence Road organised a Seminar on Road Safety and Traffic Awareness. The speakers for the Day Mr. Paramjit Singh Chahal (Inspector Traffic Police) and Mr. Harbhajan Singh (Incharge Traffic Education Cell) apprised the vans and bus drivers present about the school Safe Vahan Policy. They exhorted them to follow all the safety norms and work in unison with the Traffic Police to ensure the well being of the students. They urged them to take their responsibility seriously as the onus of the safety of the students is on their shoulders. Pamphlets were also distributed amongst the van and bus drivers. Head Constable Mr. Salwant Singh, Ms. Mamta and various members of District Saanjh Kendra also accompanied the speakers.

                 Regional officer Punjab Zone (A) Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra appreciated the efforts of the Traffic Police and assured them the whole hearted support of the school. Manager of the school Dr. Pushpinder Walia thanked the Traffic Police Department.

            The Principal of the school Dr. Pallavi Sethi expressed her gratitude to the Traffic Department and goaded the Drivers present to follow all the safety protocols mentioned in  the school Safe Vahan Policy. She  assured the Traffic Police complete support and help whenever required.
