Sports Day of GHPS India Gate celebrated

New Delhi, Dec. 31 (Amrit Lal Manan) – The Annual Sports Day of the Junior Segment of GHPS India Gate was celebrated in the school premises. The meet was declared open with the release of colourful balloons by the worthy Principal, Ms. Davinderjeet Kaur Dhingra. The programme commenced with the prayer to the Almighty. The event was marked by a string of spectacular performances presented by the little ones.

             The highlight of the day was Aerobics showcasing the latent talent of our flying acrobats. Karate student enthralled the audience with their spectacular feats like self-defense by girls and tile breaking by boys. Tiny tots captivated the hearts of all through their mesmerizing performances. S. Manjeet Singh Ji G.K inspired the budding athletes with his encouraging words. He stressed integrating sports with academics laying emphasis on sportsman spirit and healthy competition. The Chairman of the school S. Balbir Singh Kohli and the Manager S. Kulmohan Singh also encouraged the students and highlighted the importance of sports in the school curriculum. The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks proposed by the Principal of the school stressing sports as a striking feature for the holistic development of the students.
