Amritsar, Mar. 17 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Delhi Public School’s Abhayjeet Singh Sandhu brought laurels to the school by becoming the first brilliant student of the school to win the first round of the National Talent Search Examination (NTSE). School Principal Ms Sangeet Singh along with Member of school managment Mr Aakash Khandelwal while congratulating the winner on his excellent achievement, wished him the best for achieving higher benchmarks in life. The principal said that this was indeed a moment of pride for the school and encouraged Abhayjeet to keep the DPS banner flying high. Abhayjeet Singh attributed his success to faith in the Almighty, guidance and support of his parents and teachers. “The competition was very tough and it was a battle of brains where concept and reasoning were the key to correctly answer the questions in a limited time”, he added. Organized by NCERT an official body, the NTSE is sought after as the most prestigious examination at high school level and is open to Indian nationals throughout the world where lakhs of students appear annually in this exam that carries a monetary monthly scholarship of Rs 500 per student and an annual book grant. 1000-Scholarships are awarded by NCERT annually to talented students under the National Talent Search Scheme by Government of India.
