Chhina in the List of top 100 Influential Sikhs of the World

Amritsar, Oct.  6 (Punjab Post Bureau) – BJP state vice-president, director, Punjab National Bank and secretary of historic Khalsa College Governing Council Rajinder Mohan Singh Chhina got the rare honour of getting his name registered in List of 100 most influential Sikhs of world. The list, released by London (UK) based `The Sikh Directory and Sikh Awards’, figures US based hotelier Sant Singh Chhatwal, General (Rtd) JJ Singh, Air Marshal Arjun Singh, CM Parkash Singh Badal, former CM and MP Captain Amarinder Singh, was released in Delhi recently during a special functions to declare Sikh Awards.

The List is annually released by the organization and it is for the first time that the function to release the list was organized in India. The founder of the body that prepares the list Navdeep Singh, who owns a chain of hotel in UK and Europe, said the aim of the publication of the list is to encourage those Sikhs personalities of the World who have achieved big in the year. The present list contains the name of influential 100 such personalities in 2015 who achieved big in the field of education, business, Media, Entertainment industry, sports and social work.

The other prominent names that had been included are Flying Sikh Milkha Singh, Retired IPS PS Pasricha, Secretary, External Affairs Minister Navtej Signh Sarna, Dubai based hotelier and social activist SS Oberio and former MP Tarlochan Singh. The oragnizers said the next annual function to mark the release of the new list would be organized in USA next year and more such personalities would be honoured.
