DBT Sponsored Workshop on Learning Physics through Experiments at Bbk Dav College

Amritsar, February 18 (Punjab Post Bureau)- Department of Physics, BBK DAV College for Women organized a DBT-Sponsored Workshop on Learning Physics through Experiments. Dr. Jaswinder Singh, National Awardee and Recipient of Shiksha Ratan Award was the resource person. Dr. Jaswinder Singh  gave a live demonstration of low cost Physics experiments which can be conducted easily in the classroom to unveil the physical phenomena of nature in the most interesting and engaging manner. The experiments related to wave motion, electrostatics, rocket propulsion, oftics, mechanics etc. provided a lucid understanding of various principles of Physics. He also threw light on solving mathematical problems in a simple manner.

Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia applauded the efforts of the department and said that such workshops are necessary to impart practical knowledge to the students. Dr. Shweta Mohan, Head, Department of Physics & Dr. Monika Bhardwaj, Head, Department of Zoology, along with other faculty members and students, were also present on the occasion.
