Army Recruitment Rally held at Akhnoor

Jalandhar,  May 6 (Punjab Post Bureau) –  PPN0605201701An Army Recruitment Rally is being organized at Akhnoor from 6th  to 22nd May 2017. The rally is being conducted based on an online system of registration of candidates which is a departure from the earlier Open Rally System. The candidates who have registered themselves and applied online in www.joinindianarmy.nic.in have been called for participation in the rally. A total of 55,212 candidates have registered for the current rally. The rally will be covering candidates belonging to Samba, Kathua, Jammu, Udhampur, Rajouri, Reasi, Poonch, Ramban, Doda and Kishtwar districts.PPN0605201702

A total of 2500 candidates have been screened upto 06 May 2017 from Doda district. Thus response of candidates has been overwhelming which can be judged from large no of registration, query and enthusiasts.

Successful candidates will then be inducted into the various arms and services of the Army. This will go a long way in meeting the aspirants of youths of the area who wish to join the Army and serve the Nation. The recruitment process is totally computerized and is absolutely transparent. Recruitment is carried out by five independent and separate boards of officers detailed by various Headquarters. Special emphasis is being laid to make all candidates understand this recruiting process, so as to avoid their falling prey to touts and undesirable elements.

The rally is being organised by Army Recruitment Office, Jammu of Headquarter Recruiting Zone, Jalandhar Cantt (Punjab and J&K). The overall conduct of this rally is under the arrangements of Headquarters 10 Infantry Division with assistance from civil administration of Jammu district. The positive and forthcoming support rendered by the office of Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, SDM Akhnoor, SP Rural and SDPO Akhnoor in terms of crowd control, security arrangements, medical support and provision of water and sanitation for the candidates have been appreciated by all. Brigadier JS Samyal, Deputy Director General Recruiting (Punjab and J&K) expressed satisfaction and gratitude to local Army and civil authorities for overwhelming support and co-operation in the smooth and efficient conduct of this Recruitment Rally which is attended by very large number of candidates.
