Extempore Speech Contest organized at DAV College

Amritsar, Sept. 18 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Department of English of DAV College organized Extempore Speech Contest for the students of different streams. Approximately 50 students of Sem 1 participated in the event. During the event, 10 topics will be given to every student and every student has to speak on one topic from the given topics. Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar congratulated Prof Sunil Sachdeva, Head department of English for such initiatives and said that such sessions provide a great platform to students to expose their inner selves. He encouraged the youngsters to brace themselves for achieving new heights. He also gave his motivational speech and said that hard work and skills are very important for success and also emphasized on the importance of moral values and optimistic point of view in life. During the event, Anukampa and Arun of Bjmc bagged first position in the event, Yashita of BSc Economics bagged Second position and Anubhav Sharma of BSc.IT and Jabkaran of BCA bagged third position during the event. Consolation prize was given to Naina of BSc (Non Medical) and Sakshi of BSc

(Biotechnology). This event was judged by Prof Richa Mahajan and Dr Kiran Kashyap.

During the activity, Prof. Pardeep Celly, Dr. Rajdavinder Randhawa, Prof Richa Mahajan, Dr. Samriti Aggarwal, Dr. Kiran Kashyap, Prof Monica Sharma, Prof. Meneka Kalia, Prof. Navjot Kaur, Prof. Manpreet Kaur, Prof. Aanchal,  Prof. Puneet Randhawa and Prof. Gurjant Randhawa were also present.
