BBK DAV wins medal in International Yoga Sports Championship 2017

Amritsar, Oct. 17 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Two Yoga players Ms. Gaganpreet Kaur & Simaranjeet Kaur of BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar won a silver medal & a bronze medal in Second International Yoga Sports Championship 2017 in traditional yoga & artistic yoga events held at SKICC, Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir. College team put up a splendid show by beating 28 teams from the eight countries including India, Vietnam, Bulgaria, Taiwan, Canada and USA. The team also won GNDU Inter-College Yoga Championship 2017-18. Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia congratulated the players on their remarkable performance and appreciated their hard work. She added that BBK DAV College has always provided its players with the State-of-art infrastructure and other necessary facilities, that is why, the college players have always made a mark in various national and international events. Mrs. Sweety Bala, Head, Department of Physical Education, along with the other faculty members, felicitated the players on their achievements.
