DAV Public Celebrates Rakhi with Fervor

Amritsar, Aug. 9 (Punjab Post Bureau)- Raksha Bandhan, which literally means a bond of love and protection between brother and sister was celebrated with full zeal and enthusiasm at DAV Public School, Lawrence Road , Amritsar. The thread of Rakhi which pulsates with sisterly love and sublime sentiments promises life long affection and care. The students of the school sang joyful songs on this occasion and prayed to God for the long life, happiness and prosperity of their families. Rakhi making competitions, Card making competitions etc were also conducted in the classes on this occasion. Regional Director Amritsar Zone Dr.(Mrs.) Neelam Kamra Principal BBK DAV College for Women , Lawrence Road , Amritsar and the Manager of the school Dr. K.N. Kaul Principal DAV College , Hathi Gate Amritsar sent their best wishes for the students, teachers and their families. They wished health and prosperity for everyone on this auspicious occasion. Dr. Neera Sharma Principal of the school blessed the students on this occasion and advised the students to celebrate the festival in its true spirit promising life –long bonding and not celebrating this solemn festival for material gains.
