Amritsar, 6 May (Punjab Post Bureau) – Minister for School Education and Environment OP Soni today attended the 4th convocation at Mohan Lal Memorial Institute of Education. Around 200 B.Ed. graduate students received their degrees at the ceremony. Dr. T.S Banipal (Dean of College Development Council, GNDU), Jagdish Singh Director of 4S School, Dr. HP Singh Medical Director Fortis Escots Amritsar were present during the convocation. Chairman Dr. RP Khullar and Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Mona addressed Chief Guests with their floral welcome. Students participated in various activities like Folk Songs and Gazals in front of Chief Guests. OP Soni and Dr. Banipal motivated the young teachers to fortify the virtues of high characters, discipline, honesty and integrity in order to justify themselves to their endeavour of choosing this noble profession. Jagdish Singh and Dr. HP Singh were also present in the program and shared their views.
Chairman Dr. Khullar said that teachers have special obligation to encourage the pursuit of learning and all round development of pupils for improvement of education system.
As going through annual report, college Principle Dr. (Mrs.) Mona highlighted the achievement of Institution in various fields. She also mentioned the efforts of faculty students and other staff members of college in furthering and fulfilling the educational objectives of college.
Principal of SV Memorial College of Nursing and other staff were also present. At last vote of thanks to the Chief Guests was presented by Madam Kawaljit Kaur Gill.
