DAV College organizes a Guest lecture “Life without Chemistry”

Amritsar, August 9 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Department of Chemistry, DAV College, Amritsar organized a Guest lecture on the topic “Life without Chemistry”. Dr. M.S. Bakshi, University of Wisconsin, United States of America was the key note speaker during the event. Total 103 Students participated during the event.

Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar along with Dr. Anita Mahajan, Head Department of Chemistry welcomed the guest. Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar appreciated the efforts of department for organizing such  intellectual lectures for betterment of students.

            Speaking on the occasion Dr. Bakshi talked about importance of Chemistry in our daily life. He explained about importance of Chemistry in our biological systems, possibilities of life on other planets. Dr. Anita Mahajan, Head Department of Chemistry said that the lecture was completely student Centric with main emphasis on understanding of basic Chemistry in our life and in depth knowledge of subject.

During the lecture, Dr. Ravi Sharma, Prof. JJ Mohindroo, Prof. Rajesh Mittu, Dr. Munish Gupta, Dr. Raghu Raj and Dr. Vikas Gupta , Prof. Mehak Sharma, Dr. Raghu Raj, Prof. Bharti Seth were also present.
