AVM honors Minister of state for Social Justice & empowerment Vijay Sampla

Amritsar, Dec. 14 (Punjab Post Bureau) – A Team of Amritsar Vikas Manch, honoured Hon’ble Minister of state for Social Justice & empowerment Vijay Sampla  at  Hoshiarpur for his efforts for the approval of 6 Domestic flights from Amritsar to Kolkata, Patna, Varanasi, Dharamshala, Jaipur, Goa under UDAAN-3 Phase of GOI Regional Connectivity Scheme and Amritsar-London (Lutin) flight to be started soon.

              Manjit Singh Saini General Secretary of Manch said that on the request of Amritsar Vikas Manch Vijay Sampla arranged a meeting with Minister of State for Civil Aviation Jayant Sinha and K.J Alphons Minister of State for Tourism on 25th and 26th July and as per their promise made in the meeting they fulfilled their promise for the approveal of above flights to connect major tourist destinations.

              The Amritsar Vikas Manch Team also submitted request letter to MOS Vijay Sampla to take up the matter with Ministry of Civil Aviation to resume Amritsar-London-Toranto flight to benefit Punjabi Diaspora settled in Canada because they are very eager to visit religious places associated with Shri Guru Nanak Dev Ji especially situated near Amritsar. It is also requested to increase the frequency of Amritsar- Nanded flight from 2 flights per week to at least 4 flights per week. He was requested to take up the matter personally with the Hon’ble Minister Civil Aviation Suresh Prabhu to permit Air Arabia, Oman Air, Turkish Air lines etc. to fly direct from Amritsar. Some local demands were discussed e.g. the proposal for a world level Conventional Centre at Amritsar.
