Seminar on family planning measures with a special emphasis on No Scalpel Vasectomy organised

Kapurthala, Nov 24 (Punjab Post Bureau) – A seminar on family planning measures with a special emphasis on No Scalpel vasectomy organised in civil surgeon office today. On the occasion Civil Surgeon Dr. JasmeetBawa said that NSV fortnight would be observed in two phases. The first phase will start on 21^st to 27^thnov (Mobilisation week). During this period field staff would create awareness about No scalpel vasectomy. She also stated that myths about physical weakness are unscientific and person can do manual labour. She further added that it is the need of hour to clear notions that people have about NSV.

         District family planning officer Dr. Raj Karni said that in the second phase starting from  Nov. 28 to Dec. 4 (Service Delivery Week) the surgeries would be conducted in govt. facilties. Pamphlets regarding Family planning methods also released by Civil surgeon and higher officials.
