Two days CBSE Science Exhibition / Fair 2019-20 at SGHPS Majitha Road By Pass

Amritsar, Nov 24 (Punjab Post Bureau) –  Sri Guru Harkrishan Sr. Sec. Public School Majitha Road By Pass hosted two days CBSE  Science Exhibition / Fair 2019-20. The theme for this year’s Exhibition cum fair was ‘Science and Technology for Sustainable Development with a Thrust on Water Conservation’. In total 115 schools participated from the Panchkula region with 151 models in various categories. Students presented their exhibits under the sub themes: Sustainable Agricultural Practices,Cleanliness and Health, Resource Management, Industrial Development, Future Transport and Communication, Education Games and Mathematics and others. Mrs. Dapinder Kaur  Principal of the host school welcomed everyone whole heartedly . The event started by evoking the blessings of Almighty. The Exhibition was inaugurated by S.Nirmal Singh ji( President Chief Khalsa Diwan). He interacted with the students and Science enthusiasts and lauded their exceptional efforts. The Members Incharge of the school Rajmohinder Singh Majitha, Manmohan Singh and Navtej Singh Narang appreciated the initiative of the board to generate curiosity and develop a scientific attitude in students and giving them a creative platform.The students of the host school also presented a colorful cultural programme which made everyone spellbound 

Students of Class 6 onwards displayed their models made from eco- friendly material. The demonstrations and explanations were given by the participants under the mentorship of their able teachers. The spectators including the panel of judges were greatly impressed. It was quite refreshing to see the young minds coming up with new ideas.

            The Principal of the host school informed that the school has made elaborated arrangements for the exhibition. She said that such exhibitions are necessary to improve the understanding and appreciation of science studies and extending boundaries of human knowledge as the Participants had not only portrayed the future world but also given careful attention to minute details. It was an enriching experience for one and all.
