DAV Public School Celebrates Lohri with Great Exuberance

Amritsar, Jan 13 (Punjab Post Bureau) – DAV Public School Lawrence Road celebrated Lohri with great fervour fervour and enthusiasm. A colourful programme was presented to mark the event in which children gave a brief introduction of the historical and cultural facts and events related to this festival. The school bore a festive look on this occasion which marks the culmination of winter. The whole campus reverberated with the Cheers of ‘Sunder Mundriye’. Children presented folk songs to add to the colourful celebrations. The students gave the message of rejoicing the birth of a girl child with the same vigour as that of a birth of a boy and also burning all the evils in the auspicious fire of Lohri.

          Regional Officer Punjab Zone – A Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra and the Manager of the school Dr. Rajesh Kumar conveyed their blessings and greetings to the students and the teachers.

          Dr. Neera Sharma Principal of the school addressed the students and greeted them on this occasion. She also advised them not to use Chinese string as it is very harmful.
