A lecture on “Awareness about Cervical Cancer” organized in DAV College

Amritsar, February 7 (Punjab Post Bureau) –  A lecture on “Awareness about Cervical Cancer” was organized by Red Ribbon Club in collaboration with Department of Physics, DAV College. Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar welcomed the speaker of the day Dr. Amrita Rana, Chief Consultant Radiologist and Director of Rana Diagnostics.

            Dr. Rana shed the light on various phases of HPV infection leading to cervical cancer and preventive measures to be taken. All the members of the Phulkari CAN Club were present at the event. Few activities were also performed along with lecture to promote the awareness regarding cervical cancer.

            Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar congratulated Red Ribbon Club and Department of Physics for organizing such useful event sponsored by DBT under Star College Scheme.

            Members of the Red Ribbon Club Prof. Ashu Vij, Dr. Vibha Sharma and Dr. Vikram Sharma along with Dr. Sameer Kalia, Head of Department of Physics, Dr. Neeru Gupta, Dr. Rajesh Kumar, Dr. Maninder Kaur, Dr. Ajay Kumar, Dr. Manpreet Kaur, Prof. Rajeev Arora, Dr. Neerja Kalia, Dr. Jagdish Kaur and others were also present at the occasion.
