1000 PSA capacity oxygen generator unit inaugurated at Govt Medical College

Amritsar, August 18 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Cabinet Minister for Medical Education and Research O.P Soni, Member

of Parliament Gurjeet Singh Aujla inaugurated 1000 PSA capacity oxygen generator unit at Government Medical College Amritsar in presence of SPS Oberoi Patron of Sarbat da Bhala Trust.

                 For establishment and commissioning of this PSA plant member parliament Gurjeet Singh Aujla allocated 88.50 lacs from his MPLAD scheme funds. This amount was sanctioned to PWD Electrical Division and Punjab Health Systems Corporation for the purchase of 320 kva diesel Genset, 500 kva transformer and construction of shed and installation of oxygen pipe line to main manifold of the hospital. Aujla said that he is now working with Union Government for the sanctioning of medical grade oxygen liquefaction plant for Amritsar so that the stored reserves of the liquid oxygen may be maintained for immediate supply to other districts. He said that the oxygen plants presently being set up at Government Medical College Amritsar and GNDH can supply oxygen directly to hospital wards but cannot store for transportation.
