DAV Public School Celebrates Republic Day with Fervour & Patriotic Zeal

Amritsar, Jan 24 (Punjab Post Bureau) -The day 26th January, 1950 declared India as a Sovereign, Socialist, Secular, Democratic Republic. This day makes us proud of rich cultural and social fabric and fills us with reverence for the sacrifices made by the freedom fighters who struggled for the freedom of the country. The special morning assembly of the school bore a festive look. The students sang patriotic songs and recited poems to pay tribute to the great leaders of the country whose futuristic vision and selfless sacrifices led us to breathe in free India. The school students presented a dance performance paying homage to Mother India. All the students joined in by waving the Indian flag and cheered slogans of Jai Hind. The journey since 1950 has had its ups and downs for the country. Since then, the country has witnessed a technological upsurge along with some evils like poverty and corruption which we need to fight urgently. The students took a pledge to remove this darkness from the face of the country and make it a shining India.

 

Regional Director Amritsar Zone Dr. (Mrs) Neelam Kamra Principal and the Manager of the school Dr. Rajesh Kumar Principal DAV College, Asr congratulated the teachers and the students on this occasion and asked them to salute the sacrifices of the freedom fighters and the leaders of the country for their selfless mission of freeing the country from slave hood. The Principal of the school Dr. Neera Sharma wished all the students and staff members a free and progressive India. She advised the students to be sensitive to social issues and spread awareness against the evils still persisting in the country. She asked them to have a dream for their country and work hard to make it a real jewel on the world map.
