Special Students of DAV Red Cross School honoured in Republic Day Function

Amritsar, Jan. 27 (Punjab Post Bureau) – 13 intellectually challenged students of DAV Red Cross School for special Children, New Tehsilpura Amritsar were honoured by Cabinet Minister Sh. Anil Joshi in District Level Republic Day function held at Gandhi Ground, Amritsar, for their achievements in National and State Special Olympics. Headmistress Simmi Luthra informed that Karina, Diksha and Shalinder of the school received honour for winning gold medals in National & State Special Olympics, Boccee and Badminton tournaments. Harleen, Arshpreet, Sahil, Karanroop, Rupesh, Kewal, Mehakpreet, Mandeep and Nandtej were honoured for winning 5 Gold, 6 Silver and 6 Bronze medals in State Special Olympics 2014. Arya Ratan Sh. Poonam Suri, President, D.A.V C.M.C, New Delhi, Sh. J.P. Shoor, Director PS-I & Aided Schools Dr (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra, R.D. & Manager of the school and Principal Dr. Neera Sharma congratulated students for their achievement.
