Discontinuation of B.Com (Professional) Degree is Academic Council of the GNDU decision

Amritsar, Feb. 19 (Punjab Post Bureau) – This is in reference to the recent developments regarding B.Com (Professional) Degree of the Guru Nanak Dev University. The decision to discontinue the degree is the decision of the Academic Council of the Guru Nanak Dev University. The decision shall be in practice (discontinuation) from the Academic Session 2015-16 and those already admitted shall complete their degree as per the Ordinances at the time of their respective admission. Therefore, those who are currently pursuing this course need not exhibit any insecurity. This is also important to mention here that the B.Com (Professional) Degree of Guru Nanak Dev University is at par with the other graduate degrees of the University and is recognized by the University as equivalent for getting admission in postgraduate programs and jobs.
