Special lecture on Versatility in Education organized at GNDU

Amritsar, Feb. 19 (Punjab Post Bureau) –  Alumini Association and Department of Botanical and Environmental Sciences, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar jointly organized a talk by Dr. Mohinderjit Singh Sidhu, Senior Director, Pfizer Vaccine R&D, New York, USA on “Versatility in Education at GNDU Biology-Coming Full Circle- From Endless Complexity to simplicity & back again-A Life Journey” today. Dr. Sidhu being proud alumnus of university shared his learning experiences from this institution and his journey which involved various hardships that paved a way for his success. He stressed on the need for basic science knowledge and how this can help us in chasing dreams. Dr. Sidhu was thankful to his teachers who taught him and guided him during research. While interacting with students of Life Sciences Dr. Sidhu expressed the need for networking and suggested that students should remain in contact with GNDU alumni who are holding various key positions at many institutes of repute. Prof. Subodh Kumar, Dean, Alumni extended the warm welcome to the speaker and suggested that being in contact with alumni is always beneficial for the institute. Dr. A.J.S Bhanwar, Dean, Life Sciences and all faculty members, research scholars and students of biology block were present to grace the occasion. Dr. Avinash Kaur Nagpal acknowledged all the guests and audience and expressed deep gratitude.
