BBK DAV Girls Won Three Silver Medals in National Games

Amritsar, Mar. 17 (Punjab Post Bureau) –  Three Handball players of BBK DAV College for Women namely Ms. Rupinderjit Kaur, Ms. Ramanpreet Kaur and Ms. Bimla Kaur won the Silver Medal in 35^th National Games held at Kerala from 31^st Jan to 14^th Feb, 2015. Eight teams of different states of India participated in the championship. The Punjab team gave a splendid show defeating Delhi, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Chhattisgarh, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Kerala. In the final match, Punjab team defeated Haryana with score 32/29.

They also won Gold Medal in Sr. National championship held at (Mastuana Sahib) Punjab from 28^th October to 02 November 2014 and also participated in All India Intervarsity held at Jammu from 7-22 November, 2014. Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra congratulated the players and wished them good luck for their upcoming tournament. Mrs. Sweety Bala HOD, Sports Department and teacher Ms. Savita Kumari, congratulated the winners and appreciated them for their efforts.
