BBK DAV College Wins GNDU Inter College Chess Championship

Amritsar, Sept. 15 (Punjab Post Bureau) –  The Chess team of BBK DAV for Women won the GNDU Inter College Chess Championship third time in a row held at GNDU Campus, Amritsar from 10^th to 11^th September, 2015. College girls won the trophy by defeating HMV, Jalandhar with a score line of 3.5- 0.5, S.R. Govt. College, Amritsar with a Score line of 4-0 and D.A.V College, Jalandhar with a Score Line of 3.1. Ms. Rhytham and Nancy have been selected to represent GNDU team for North Zone Intervarsity tournaments which is going to be held at Jhansi, from 5^th to 9^th Oct 2015. Other team members are M.s Gurmeet, Yamini, and Manika.

Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra, Mrs. Sweety Bala H.O.D, spots Department felicitated the students and motivated them to maintain their positions in future as well. Ms. Savita Kumari & Ms. Rajwant Kaur, teachers of the Sports department also congratulated the students for their achievement.
