DAV Public School hosted an Orientation Programme for Teachers

Amritsar, Oct. 26 (Punjab Post Bureau)- Under the aegis of DAV Centre of Academic Excellence,  DAV Public School, Lawrence Road hosted an Orientation Programme for teachers in school premises. As many as 51 teachers, teaching Std VI, VII & VIII from different DAV Schools (Amritsar Region) participated in the workshop.

The workshop was inaugurated by Regional Director, Amritsar Zone, Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra, who is the guiding force behind this innovative approach, which was followed by floral welcome, lighting of the lamp and DAV Anthem. Dr. (Mrs.) Neera Sharma formally welcomed the guests. Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra addressed the teachers and motivated them to update themselves with the late st technology and also enhance their growth. She also acknowledged the hard work put in by the teachers and asked them to encourage students to excel. He also authenticated that it is only because of the moral character and commitment of teachers that the society flourishes.

            The skilfully planned workshops aimed at enhancing the teaching – learning process. The resource person were Mrs. Anju Arora & Mrs. Bharti Thukral for Maths, Mrs. Anajana Bindra and Mrs. Sweeny Sehgal for Science, Ms. Huma Sandhu & Mrs. Mani Marwaha for English and Ms. Monika Bhalla for Computer workshop. The workshops were interactive and activity oriented. It aimed at raising the quality and standard of education and overall development of the personality of the child. The syllabus was discussed and queries were taken in the end. The resource persons also discussed the importance of lesson plan and assignment given to the students. Overall the workshops were a success as many new methodologies were discussed. Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra and Dr. Neera Sharma congratulated everyone and also blessed the teachers for the success of workshop.
