Amritsar, 4 Nov (Punjab Post Bureau)- The closing ceremony of 17th CKDCS Sports Meet took place at Sri Guru Harkrishan Sr. Sec. Public School, G.T.Road which was also the venue for Table Tennis, Taekwando, Rope Skipping, Badminton and Chess competitions. The Chief Guest for the programme was S. Charanjit Singh Chadha, President CKDCS. He was accorded a warm welcome by S. Harminder Singh, member Incharge and Principal/Director Dr. Dharam Veer Singh. The programme began with the school shabad. A small cultural programme was organized on the occasion. About 708 participants from 15 schools participated in various events with great gusto and verve. The Chief Guest gave away the prizes to the winners. In his speech he congratulated all the participants and encouraged them to maintain the sprit of sportsmanship, dedication and team work.The school also added another jewel in its crown when its new physics and chemistry laboratories and fine arts room for the Senior Secondary section was inaugurated by S. Charanjit Singh Chadha. Member Incharge S. Harminder Singh apprised the dignitaries present that both the labs and fine arts room have state of the art infrastructure and are fully equipped with the standard and modern equipments. After inauguration the Chief Guest said that the new labs and fine arts room mark a new milestone in the efforts of the school to provide quality education and better educational facilities for the students Principal/Directors Dr. Dharam Veer Singh urged the students and teachers to effectively utilize the facilities and maximize its availability for all the users through careful planning and management.
