
Amritsar, Nov. 7 (Punjab Post Bureau)- Blood Donation Camp was organized at DAV College. Principal Dr Rajesh Kumar and Prof BB Yadav, Head Physical education and Coordinator Blood Bank Unit College welcomed chief guest S. Gulzar Singh Ranike, Cabinet Minister for Animal Husbandry, Punjab. Blood donation Camp was inaugurated in Arsh Auditorium by S. Gulzar Singh Ranike.
Principal Dr Rajesh Kumar motivated students of the college to participate in such welfare camps organized for helping needy persons. More than 100 students along with college staff members donated blood units with full enthusiasm to help society for this pious cause. Last year, 25000 Blood units were collected under Mahatma Hans Raj Blood Donation Camp organized at All India level DAV Institutions and our College Blood bank also made remarkable contribution during that camp.
Much eagerness was seen among college students for donating blood. This great social gesture helped students realizing sense of responsibility towards social welfare. They helped donators to make this noble cause a success. Prof. H.S Walia, Vice Principal, Dr Sanjay Sharma, Staff Secretary, Prof Rk Jha, Dr Daisy Sharma, College Administrator, Dr Kamal Kishore were also present during the camp.
