43rd Convocation of BBK DAV College for Women held

 Amritsar, 24 April (Punjab Post Bureau)- 43^rd Convocation of BBK DAV College for Women held in which 1300 Graduates and Post Graduates from Arts, Commerce, Science, Economics, Computer Science, Journalism & Mass Communication, Media Studies & Production, Multimedia and Design Streams were awarded degrees on the occasion. Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra congratulated the degree holders and exhorted them to keep learning throughout their life & to follow the path of truth, morality and hard work. Dr. Kamra also read an annual report of the college highlighting achievements of the college in the spheres of Academics, Sports and Co-Curricular activities. Dr. R.K. Kohli, Vice Chancellor of DAV University, Jalandhar was the Chief Guest on the occasion. In his Convocation Address, he congratulated all the degree holders and said that today’s woman is an empowered woman who switches over from one task to another with greatest skill and potential. Dr. Kohli also said that there is need to develop learning centric environment which will help in bringing innovation for future growth & development of the Nation. Dr. Kohli concluded his speech with the inspiring words of Albert Einstein “Out of Clutter find Simplicity, from discord find harmony” Hargun, the pride of the college entertained the audience with her beautiful voice. She sang a beautiful Sufi Song. This item was followed by a beautiful Qawali performed by the Department of Music of the college. Sh. J.K. Luthra, Dr. Lakhanpal, Sh. Morari Lal Batra, Sh. Padam Ji, Sh. Satish Sood, Dr. K.S. Manchanda, Sh. Jatinder Bhardwaj, Principal Dr. K.N. Kaul, Principal Dr. Neera Sharma, Principal Mrs. Anjana Gupta, Principal Mrs. Simmi Luthra, Principal Paramjit graced the occasion with their presence.
