Yagyashala Inugurated at DAV Public School

Amritsar. Nov. 20 (Punjab Post Bureau)-It was an auspicious occasion at DAV Public School, Lawrence Road, Amritsar where amidst the chanting of holy mantras and Havana, the school Yagyashala was  inaugurated by the blessed hands of Arya Ratna Sh.Punam  Suri ji , President DAV CMC, New Delhi and Mrs.Mani Suri. The occasion was  graced by Sh.J.P Shoor ji , Director PS (I) and Aided Schools,  Regional Director , Amritsar Zone , Dr.(Mrs.) Neelam Kamra, Principal BBK DAV College for Women,   Adv. Sudarshan Kapoor , Sh. S.K.Sharma, Director Publications DAV CMC, New Delhi , Sh.Paramjit , Principal MKD DAV , Sh. Sanjeev Kochhar, Principal DAV Public School, Bhikhiwind, Mrs.Shabnam Handa , Principal, Police DAV Public School, Sh.Satyapal Arya , Secretary DAV CMC, Sh.J.K. Luthra , Sh .Rakesh Mehra and other eminent personalities from LMC and Arya Samaj, Amritsar.

The school takes  pride in the magnificent Yagyashala which can accommodate 300  people. It  has been aesthetically decorated with a  beautiful garden surrounding it . This octagonal shaped  Yagyashala is an architectural marvel constructed in marble which enhances the entrance  of the school, giving  it a pious ambience.

The school follows the tradition of holding Yagnas and Havana on daily basis. Everyday the students and the teachers perform the Yagna for the spiritual enlightenment and harmony at large.   The daily Havana would now be held at the Yagyashala taking forward the illustrious legacy of Arya Samaj.

Arya Ratna Sh.Punam Suri ji , President , DAV CMC, New Delhi blessed the students and the teachers on this occasion. He appreciated the students for  their keen involvement in daily Havana held at school. He said that Vedic Yagya is performed for knowledge , peace , prosperity, removed of  negativity and neutralisation of  adverse planetary influence. He asked the students and teachers to be a part of Yagya ceremony daily and  tread the path shown by Swami Dayanand Saraswati. He congratulated the school for the exquisite Yagyashala.

Sh. J.P.Shoor ji , Director PS (I) and aided schools, also congratulated the school for the Yagyashala. He praised the school to be a treasure – trove of talent and asked the students to imbibe the Vedic Values and live a simple and rightful life.

Regional Director Amritsar Zone Dr.(Mrs.) Neelam Kamra Principal BBK DAV College  for Women, Lawrence Road, Amritsar  said that the Vedas are the foundation of true knowledge and we must try to tread the path synchronising the values from Vedas and modern education. Dr.Neera Sharma, Principal of the school , thanked Arya Ratna Sh.Punam Suri ji and other eminent guests for gracing the  occasion. She expressed her gratitude to Sh.Punam Suri ji for his benign presence and blessing  the students and the teachers on this occasion.
