Amritsar, Dec. 2 (Punjab Post Bureau)- It was a matter of great honour for the students of DAV Public School, Lawrence Road, Amritsar to participate and win Top Positions in National Aerolymic – 2015 held at Bangalore. After the screening competition named ‘Greener Aircraft’ for which the school had sent its report, the school was selected for the National Level Competition. In the screening competition 500 schools from all over India had sent their entries and only 25 schools were selected. In the final competition held at Bangalore, 25 schools from all over India participated and competed in 9 events. The students of the school performed stupendously in all the events. Suryansh of Std X bagged First prize in Aviation Quiz, Arthav Tripathi of Std X won 2nd prize in General Awareness Quiz, Savjot Singh of Std X scored highest marks in a Surprise event and the school also won First Prize in a Skit performed in the cultural event. The team of eminent judges praised the school for the team work, leadership quality and in depth knowledge of the students.
Regional Director Amritsar Zone, Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra, Principal BBK DAV College for Women, Lawrence Road, Amritsar and the Manager of the school, Dr. Rajesh Kumar Principal DAV College Hathi Gate congratulated the students for their brilliant achievement. They advised them to pursue their passion in scientific research and bring name and fame to their school and nation.
Dr. Neera Sharma, Principal of the school while applauding the students and the teachers said that she was very happy at the performance of the students. She added it was a very good experience and exposure for the students to compete with the best at the National Level. She blessed them for future endeavours.
