20th Indian Orthodontic Society PG Students’ Convention

PPN0703201617Amritsar, Mar. 7 (Punjab Post Bureau)- The 20th IOS PG Students’ Convention was held at Golden Galaxy resorts, Amritsar, which concluded on 6th March, 2016. Over 1500 delegates including post graduates, faculty and distinguished guests from the entire country are participated in the convention which was being held for the first time in Punjab at Amritsar. The Convention was formally inaugurated  by Sh. Anil Joshi, Hon’ble Minister for Medical Education and Research, Punjab. He appreciated the efforts done by organizers in organizing the conference in the holy city of Amritsar.Dr.Jagpreet Singh Sandhu, Chairman of the conference said that the conference would be a landmark in the history of Orthodontics &DentofacialOrthopaedics  He welcomed all the delegates to the conference particularly those coming from very far off states. Dr. D Majumdar, President, Dental Council of India encouraging the students said that future of this specialty was very bright in India and motivated them to contribute the maximum to the society. Dr AmanishShinh, from the scientific desk  of the conferencesaid that  the post graduate students presented  papers, posters and table clinics in clinical, research and clinical innovations categories. Excellent speakers and outstanding contributors in the field of Orthodontics &Dentofacial Orthopaedics will also be enlightening the post graduate students with their knowledge and experience during the convention. Dr Kamal Baghi, Chairman and  DrAmarjit Singh Gill, Principal of Genesis Institute of Dental Sciences and Research, Ferozepur and many prominent personalities of Amritsar were also present at the inaugural. Dr Sukhdeep Singh Kahlon lauded the efforts of the entire organising team and proposed a vote of thanks. The organisers handed Sh. Anil Joshi for his valuable contrivution for upliftment of Medical Science in the state of Punjab & his efforts for development of state of Punjab.
