159 cases disposed off from 543 cases were taken up in National Lok Adalat

Amritsar, August 14 (Punjab Post Bureau)- As per the directions given by National Legal Services Authority, a National Lok Adalat held on 13-08-2016 pertaining to Bank matters; Section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act, Recovery suits etc. (pending and pre-litigation matters) at District Courts, Amritsar. In this regard, in total 4 benches have been constituted; one bench of Sh. Yukti Goyal, Additional Civil Judge Senior Division, Amritsar and one bench of Sh. Jaginder Singh, Civil Judge Junior Division, Amritsar were constituted at District Courts, Amritsar and as well as one bench of Ms. Navdeep Gill, Additional Civil Judge Senior Division, Baba Bakala and one bench of Ms. Geeta Rani, Civil Judge Junior Division, Ajnala were constituted at Sub Divisions Level for taking up and disposal of maximum cases related to the Bank matters; Section 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act, Recovery suits etc. (pending and pre-litigation matters) in National Lok Adalat. Total 543 cases were taken up in this National Lok Adalat and 159 cases were disposed off. Settled amount in this National Lok Adalat is Rs.37401777/-( Three Crore Seventy Four Lac one Thousand Seven Hundred Seventy Seven Rupees Only ).
