Trekking Expedition to Kalihani Pass

Jalandhar, September 30 (Punjab Post Bureau) – 65 Armored Regiment flagged off its celebration of ‘Golden Jubilee’ year with a trekking expedition to Kalihani Pass from 15 Sep 2016 to 28 Sep 2016. The expedition team comprising of two Officers, one Junior Commissioned Officer and 12 Other Ranks covered a distance of 160 kms in the challenging remote terrain of Himachal Pradesh. ppn3009201616

The trek to Kalihani Pass, located at an altitude of over, 16000 feet above mean sea level, brought the adventurous spirit and ‘Never Say Die’ attitude of the personnel of   65 Armoured Regiment to the fore. During the expedition, a medical camp was organised in one of the remotest villages of Himachal Pradesh, village Barabangal where, the Nursing Assistant attended to 96 villagers who were also provided free medicines. The expedition, on successful competition, was flagged in by Commander ‘Fleur-de-Lis’ Brigade, Brigadier CS Mann.
