Amritsar, November 6 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The Final Zonal Youth Festival of Guru Nanak Dev University was concluded here today in the Dasmesh Auditorium of the University. As many as 72 teams from the affiliated colleges to the University participated in this festival.
- Gurbir Singh, District and Session Judgepresided over the valedictory function. Ms. Girish Bansal, CJM, DLSA, Amritsar was the guest of honor and Mrs. Arvinder Kaur was special guest on this occasion. Dr. Jagjit Kaur, Director, Youth Welfare welcomed the chief guest and others. She gave detail of the achievements of Youth Welfare Department.

CHAMPION : Apeejay College of Fine Arts, Jalandhar
RUNNERS UP : Lyallpur Khalsa College, Jalandhar
THIRD POSITION : B.B.K. D.A.V. College for Women, Amritsar
While congratulating student-artists, S Gurbir Singh said that we have rich cultural heritage and these youth festivals help students to revive our cultural heritage and develop their confidence which leads them for success. He said that some of student artists got national & international platforms after this stage. He said that students prepared their items with great dedication and hard work, this shows that Punjabi youth is away from the drug abuse.
He congratulated Dr. Jagjit Kaur, Director Youth Welfare to successfully organizing this youth festival. Gurbir Singh, Sh.Bansal, Mrs. Arvinder Kaur and Dr. Jagjit Kaur honoured the winners with trophies. Dr. Jagjit Kaur also honoured Chief Guest and other guests with mementos.
