Naqshaa-e-Ranga Rang organized in Guru Nanak Dev University

Amritsar, November 21 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The Life Long Learning Department of the Guru Nanak Dev University organized a two day exhibition of handicrafts and garments constructed by students of the department cum cultural programe Naqshaa-e-Ranga Rang in the Department. A large number of students and faculty members were present. Prof. A.S. Brar Vice-Chancellor inaugurated this exhibition while Dr. Sarvjit Kaur Brar, Lady Vice-Chancellor presided over. Prof. N.S Tung, Dean Academic Affairs Dr. Gurpreet Kaur, Director welcomed the chief guest and others. She also gave the details about the activities of the department. Prof. M.L. Singh Dean & Head, Electronics Department, Prof. Hardeep Singh, Computer Science Department, Prof. Suninder Kaur Tung and other faculty members were also present. Programme Assistant, Mrs. Tejpal Kaur presented vote of thanks. While speaking on this occasion, Prof. Brar appreciated the the efforts of Dr. Gurpreet Kaur for promotion of the department and lauded the contribution of this department in the development of the University. He said that this department is rendering yeomen’s services to the women students to become self dependent by providing vocational training in various fields. He also appreciated the garments displayed in the exhibition by the students.  Prof. Tung and Dr. Sarvjit Kaur Brar also presented their views on this occasion. Dr. Gurpreet Kaur honored Prof. Brar and other guests with memento. A large amount of garments and handicrafts prepared by the students of the department were displayed. The students presented cultural program on this occasion.
