Amritsar, January 17 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The office of Aam Aadmi Party Lok Sabha candidate from Amritsar Upkar Singh Sandhu was inaugurated today by safai sewak Ashok Kumar.
Speaking on the occasion, Sandhu gave a clarion call to the public for supporting the crusade launched by Arvind Kejriwal against the corrupt and unethical politicians who are promoting their personal businesses at the cost of public exchequer. Citing huge response and warmth from the people of diverse fields, Sandhu said that only few days are left when people will topple rule of tyrants and dynastic politics just be pressing the button of broom.
The AAP Lok Sabha candidate said that he would leave no stone unturned and work 24 X 7 for the welfare of the common people. He said it is a pity that we are governed by the people who have scant knowledge of the grass root problems & necessities of Aam Aadmi and frame the policies as per the whims and fancies of the corporate houses.
Taking a dig at the Congress and SAD-BJP alliance he said that these parties are completely insensitive towards the general public and have failed at all fronts. In Punjab, life of common man has virtually come to a stand still first by the oppressive policies of the Akali Dal and now by the demonetization by the Modi led BJP government. Modi Government is actually being run by few corporate houses and policies are being framed to benefit them while common man is being made to suffer. Aam Aadmi Party, which is a people’s movement against corruption, unemployment, drug trade, inflation and unholy nexus of criminals-politicians-capitalists, would ensure to weed out these prevailing evils from their roots.
