BBK DAV College For Women lfts Gndu Inter-College Softball Championship

Amritsar, January 20 (Punjab Post Bureau)- Softball team of BBK DAV College for Women won the GNDU Inter-College Softball Championship held at Guru Nanak Dev University.

College team put up a splendid show by defeating Khalsa College for Women, Amritsar, HMV College, Jalandhar and KMV College, Jalandhar. Team members were Ms. Harpreet Kaur, Mandeep Kaur, Gagandeep Kaur, Priya Devi, Lakhbir Kaur, Divya, Harjit Kaur, Neha, Kawaljit Kaur, Bandna, Asha, Aarti, Nikita Bhardwaj, Tania and Amandeep Kaur. Five players Ms. Gagandeep Kaur, Harpreet Kaur, Mandeep Kaur Aarti and Bandna have been selected for All India Intervarsity Championship going to be held from 25^th to 30^th January 2017 at Kerala. Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia congratulated the young achievers and motivated them to maintain their performance in future as well. She added that the college players have always made a mark in various championships and, as a result, BBK DAV is a forerunner in sports. Sh. Sudershan Kapoor, Chairman, Local Managing Committee, Mrs. Sweety Bala, Head, Department of Physical Education, along with faculty members, and Softball Coach Rupinder Kaur felicitated the players on their achievements.
