Intra-Department Biotechnology Festival “Techno17” held at DAV College

Amritsar, March 10 (Punjab Post Bureau) – The Department of Biotechnology, DAV College Amritsar organized a one day Intra-Department Science Festival “Techno 17” on March 09 , 2017. Students of the department participated with full zest and zeal in events like Rangoli competition, Science Charades, Keen Observer, Caption Contest and Puzzle.  The event was organized by students of sem IV of Biotechnology Department. In Rangoli competition, First position was bagged by team of Parminder Kaur, Mahima Seth, Diksha, Ojassvi Sharma , In Science Charades, First prize was given to team of Khushboo, Megha Patyal, Sabmeet Singh, Damanpreet , In Keen Observer first prize was given to team of Ojassvi, Nikhil, Pooja and Diksha, In Puzzle competition, First prize was given to team of Paramraj Singh, Diksha, Ramanpreet. Vice Principal Dr. Vishwa Bandhu, motivated and interacted with the students and was impressed by the talent of the students. He added that such activities are very important in developing intellectual skills among the students and preparing them to face the challenges of life. He also inspired them to participate in various events with all commitment and dedication. Dr. Vikas Gupta, Head Department of Biotechnology said that the main motive of the festival was to carve out the hidden talent among the students. He also told that free books were also given to  meritorious students in order to motivate them to develop more interest in studies. On this occasion, Dr. Vikas Gupta, Dr. Rupinder Kaur, Prof Pooja Sharma were also present.
