Amritsar, April 8 (Punjab Post Bureau) – DAV Public School Lawrence Road observed World Health Day in its premises. A special assembly was organised on this occasion.
The students of the school shared the importance and motive of this day. They highlighted the significance of good health and well being, emphasised on good eating habits that include a balanced diet, importance of sports and exercise. It was a unique experience for the students to come together to promote actions that can improve their health. The students celebrated it with great aplomb by enhancing awareness about it. In the end, the students took a pledge to imbibe healthy eating habits and sensitise people around them for the same. Regional Director Punjab Zone – A Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra and Manager of the school Dr. Rajesh Kumar in their message asked the students to maintain a healthy lifestyle for mental and physical fitness. Dr. Neera Sharma Principal of the school said that Yoga is a complete fitness regime which helps a person to stay healthy both physically and mentally. She asked the students to perform yoga regularly along with eating a balanced diet to lead a healthy life.
