DAV College organized a talk on the occasion of “World Health Day”

PPN1204201712Amritsar, April 11 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Department of English and Faculty of NCC Air Wing jointly organized a talk on the occasion of “World Health Day”.  This talk was delivered by officials of Indian Air Force. Wing Commander Lalit Bhardwaj, Commanding Officer, 2 PB Air Squadron NCC, Amritsar and Squadron Leader Dr. VP Singh, Medical Officer 230 Signal Unit Air Force were the Chief Guests during the occasion. Sergant VK Pathak and Sergant Mishra also graced the event with their distinguished presence. About 100 students were the part of this exuberant activity. This talk was organized under the supervision of Principal Dr Rajesh Kumar and Prof Sunil Sachdeva, Head Department of English. Principal Dr Rajesh Kumar welcomed all the guests and briefed about their achievements. He also discussed about various adverse affects of climate change and its link with the health and other development areas. He also drew attention to the global health issues worldwide. While speaking on the occasion, Lalit Bhardwaj, Commanding Officer, 2 PB Air Squadron NCC, Amritsar talked about importance of World Health Day. He said that such programmes help in creating awareness about public health issues. He also encouraged students to maintain their healthy lifestyle and to make the world healthy and free from AIDS and HIV.

Squadron Leader Dr. VP Singh, Medical Officer 230 Signal Unit Air Force talked about mental health issues. He also focuses on increasing the life expectancy by adding good health to the lives of people and promoting healthier living habits
