Annual Vaisakhi Event back to Trafalgar Square on April 29- Sikh Council UK

Amritsar (London, UK), April 14 (Punjab Post Bureau) – On this auspicious day as we commemorate the inauguration of the Khalsa Panth Sajana 1699 we are very pleased to confirm that London Mayor Sadiq Khan having met his electoral commitment to bring the Annual Vaisakhi Event back to Trafalgar Square in the heart of the city has also agreed for the format to be within the Sikhi ethos. For the event of April 29, 2017 we very much welcome this. In a email message Mr. Gurmel Singh Secretary General Sikh Council UK said that they fully acknowledge and appreciate the team effort of the steering group and City Hall towards bringing about a resolution through constructive dialogue for what will shape up to be a fantastic program.

He said council commends the stirling role the steering group including Lovepreet Singh Samra, Manraj Singh played in bringing about positive outcomes. They shall endeavour to offer continued support to the organizing team to ensure that the event is a huge success as it sets the template for other public events commemorating the inauguration of the Khalsa Panth.
