Jalandhar, Jun 7 (Punjab Post Bureau) – To promote group activities amongst the youth, “Panther Division”
organized a fun filled and educative summer camp at “Panther Sainik Institute” from 24 May 17 to 05 Jun 17. The camp was inaugurated by Mrs. Anju Nautiyal, Chairperson, and Panther Family Welfare Origination. The camp witnessed numerous activities like Arts & Craft, Readathon, Horse Riding, Drawing & Sketching, Pottery classes, Personality development & grooming, Table manners & Etiquettes and outdoor activities like swimming and group games. Readathon was organized to inculcate reading habits in the youngsters in this era of smart phones. The children were very enthusiastic and each child read a minimum of two books during the duration of eight days.
The highlight of the event were classes given by an Instructor of ‘Master Chef’ repute on nutritional and cooking tips to educate the children on healthy & nutritional value. Pottery Chapter was coordinated by Mr Gopal Verma. The summer camp evolved the children to perform in front of audiences and show case their newly acquired talent. A total of 79 children participated in this annual event and the common refrain was “Yeh Dil Maange More !”.
