BBK wins All over Championship in Power Lifting With Three Gold, One Silver & Two Bronze Medals

Amritsar, Sept. 2 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Power Lifting Team of BBK DAV College for Women, Amritsar won all over Championship in Sr. State Championship held at Kapurthala from 16-17 August, 2015. All players gave a splendid show in different weight categories. Three players Navjot Kaur weight category 52 Kg, Ms. Manpreet Kaur weight category 72 Kg and Ms. Manpreet Kaur weight category 84 Kg won the Gold Medal. Ms. Sandeep Kaur won Silver Medal in 63 Kg weight category. Two players Ms. Karamjit +84 Kg and Pardeep Kaur won 47 kg weight category won Bronze Medals, Certificate and Championship trophy. Navjot Kaur, Manpreet kaur (SR), Ms. Manpreet Kaur (JR) and Sandeep Kaur are selected for Power-Lifting national Championship going to be held at Kanchipur (UP) from 08-13, September 2015. Principal Dr. (Mrs.) Neelam Kamra, HOD, Sports Department Ms. Sweety Bala felicitated the students and motivated them to maintain the good position in future as well. Ms. Savita Kumari, Ms. Aruna & Ms. Rajwant Kaur teachers of the sports department also congratulated the students for their achievement.
