English Language Lab Workshop held at DAV Public School

Amritsar, Sept. 25 (Punjab Post Bureau) – A two day Words Worth English Language Lab Teacher’s Training Programme was organised at DAV Public School, Lawrence Road today. Mr. Krunal Desai from Ahmedabad was the expert resource person who undertook the training session with the teachers. All English teachers of the school enthusiastically participated in the workshop. The training session aimed at empowering the teachers to use the English Language Lab effectively and enable the students to acquire globally accepted language skills. Words Worth English Lab is a highly researched initiative of the ACT Univ Group, a certified enterprise and a trusted education company with  two decades of service in technology education and training. It was an interactive session in which teachers were informed about the use of the different modules and emphasis was laid on pronunciation, accent, stress and intonation patterns which can be used for the benefit of the students. By using professional sound technology with video, the language lab can provide a rich environment to learn the language thus enhancing the learner experience. Regional Director Amritsar Zone Dr.(Mrs.) Neelam Kamra Principal BBK DAV College for Women, Lawrence Road and the Manager  of the school  Dr. Rajesh Kumar Principal DAV College, Hathi Gate appreciated the school for arranging such training programmes for the teachers and called it a welcome step. They said that teachers must keep themselves upgraded with the latest for bringing out the best in a child. Mrs. Neera Sharma Principal of the school thanked the Words Worth team for the excellent session. She said that it was important that the teacher’s acquired the necessary skills to meet the 21^st Century teaching and learning challenges .
