Amritsar, Jan 30 (Punjab Post Bureau)-  “Students should not always concentrate about their privileges and rights and turn into being just the receiver. Only receiving bogs one down, leading to a complex mind.  The student starts thinking of himself as more deserving and loosens his grip on his effort.  Instead, students should learn to  share, give and be ready to sacrifice.”

This was part of the excerpt of the seminar conducted by Dr. Marko Sarvanja, Chairman Regensys, Business School, Johannesburg, South Africa and Dr. Richa Arora, Country Head, Regensys Business School to fine tune students

The seminar “Becoming successful & Global Career Opportunities” was organized by Global Institutes Amritsar for students of MBA, B.Tech & B.Com at the University Premises.

Dr Marko further added – “Giving, will develop in us a sense of satisfaction and achievement. In this circle of thought procrastination- which means delay in all layers of life is the biggest setback to success. Hence denounce procrastination in their life & become pro-active”.

Earlier Chairman of the institute Dr. B.S. Chandi, Vice Chairman Dr. Akashdeep Singh, Dr. Rajesh Goyal, Director GIMET & Prof. B.D. Sharma Dean Academics extended a floral welcome to the guests.

The South African team informed that they had several campuses around the world and hundreds of International students were studying in their institute at SA. Dr Akashdeep informed that the South African B-School had offered international students  to not be  charged immediately but were under contract by the institute to complete their degrees and reimburse fees spent upon them from their salary packages.

Dr. Richa Arora Country Head based in Mumbai talked about career development opportunities available to the students in South Africa.  She advised students to have passion in whatever they do & also gave a new definition of Ph.D defining it as-‘ Passion, Hard work & Desire’. “For that we should always focus on goals irrespective of gossip and negativity. “A person with a weak mind keeps on moving in different directions and a strong mind keeps moving towards the goal.”
