BBK DAV College for Women Organizes Mirchi Campus Rockstar

Amritsar, January 19 (Punjab Post Bureau)  – BBK DAV College for Women organized a talent hunt Mirchi Campus Rockstar in collaboration with the leading radio station Mirchi 104.8 FM and Samsung Mobiles. The event that lasted for an hour witnessed maximum participation of students who showcased their skills in the competition. The contest required participants to entertain the audience and impress the judges with radio jockeying and stage handling.

Samiksha Narula won the title of Campus Rockstar along with a gift certificate of Rs. 5000 and a shopping voucher from Shoppers Stop. Varinda Talwar and Devika grabbed 2^nd and 3^rd positions respectively. It is pertinent to note that this competition was a part of a bigger campaign that has been organized by Mirchi at around 20 colleges across the state. The event was hosted by a famous RJ Heer along with Mr. Vijay.

 Applauding the efforts of the Department of Journalism & Mass Communication, Principal Dr. Pushpinder Walia said that such a platform gives students an opportunity to showcase their talent and to prove their mettle for the industry. She thanked Radio Mirchi for choosing BBK DAV for the event. Dr. Priyanka Barsi, Head, Deptt. Of Journalism & Mass Communication, along with other faculty members, were present in the event.
