Amandeep Group of Hospitals celebrated World Menstrual Hygiene Day

Dr. Anupreet Kaur delivered talk on importance of Menstrual Hygiene

Amritsar, June 4 (Punjab Post Bureau) – World Menstrual Hygiene Day was celebratedby Amandeep Group of Hospitals at Govt Girls Senior Secondary School Mall Road in association with & under the able guidance of District Administration. Dr. Anupreet Kaur from Amandeep Hospital delivered a lecture on the importance of Menstrual Hygiene and its disposal. She believes in empowering woman by creating awareness on Good Menstrual Hygiene and to break the taboos and myths. The Vision behind spreading awareness is to help women to move towards healthy tomorrow by helping them to manage their menstruation in safety, privacy, and with dignity. As many as more than 100 girl students of the school attended and interacted very actively. The event was a grand success as a big number of girl students participated in question-answers sessions. In order to commemorate the event, sanitary napkins were distributed to all the girls.

District Programme Officer Mrs Hardeep Kaur, CDPO and supervisors of Amritsar district attended the function that in turn will be spreading awareness regarding menstrual hygiene. The function ended with a vote of thanks by Mrs Hardeep Kaur District Planning Officer Amritsar.
