Lights, Camera, Action words are enough to thrill an Actor

Amritsar, Dec 13 (Punjab Post Bureau) – Theatre gives us a platform to express our feelings and views passionately. Continuing with the tradition of organizing One Act Play, Sri Guru Harkrishan Sr. Sec. Public School, G.T. Road, Amritsar organized English Play Activity in the school premises by the students of Grade VI. English one act plays were presented with thought provoking messages. The themes of the plays ranged from role of a teacher in one’s life to moral values required to be a good citizen of the country. Awareness was also created on the harmful effects of plastics. Light was also thrown on child labour and their exploitation. Impact of social media on youngsters was also beautifully portrayed by students.  The acting skills of the students generated a thunderous applause from the audience. The performances were viewed and appreciated by the Principal Dr. Dharamveer Singh, Headmistress Mrs. Nischint Kahlon and Mrs. Ravinder Kaur Narula. They were highly impressed with the quality and theme selected for the plays and their perfect execution.

           While appreciating the efforts of the students and teachers Mrs. Nischint Kahlon gave some valuable tips on the use of English language in a perfect manner along with perfect management of stage, props and movements of cast on stage to generate a greater impact. At the end, students were awarded with certificates.
