Amritsar, February 6 (Punjab Post Bureau) – With the blessings of Padma Shree Dr.Punam Suri (President D.A.V
CMC, New Delhi) and under the guidance of the Principal Dr. Mrs. Neera Sharma the 517 students of Std-V presented their Annual Function ‘Majestic Umbrellas’, at Urvi Auditorium today in two groups of morning and evening shows.
The Chief Guest for Morning Show was Mrs. Manisha Gulati Chairperson Punjab State Women’s Commission. The Chief Guest for the Evening Show was Mr.Paramjit Batra, Senior Vice-Chairman Medium Industries Board Punjab.
The presentation offered brilliant insights into various important aspects of human existence such as God, Nature, Parents, Teachers, Friendship and Happiness that make it worthwhile and wrap it protectively just like an umbrella does. The children offered a colourful presentation of the theme, in the form of dramatics, song, dance and music all weaved together seamlessly and thoughtfully. The show was highly appreciated and applauded by everyone present.
Regional Officer Punjab Zone A Dr. (Mrs) Neelam Kamra, praised this initiative by the young students and exhorted them to strive harder for excellence and imbibe good values for becoming model citizens of the future.The manager of the school Dr.Rajesh Kumar, Principal D.A.V College Amritsar was highly pleased and satisfied by the show put up by the children and gave his blessings, and told them to focus on success and never be discouraged by small disappointments
Principal, Dr. Mrs. Neera Sharma thanked the elite gathering and appreciated the efforts of the students and the staff. She encouraged the children to pursue good education and moral values instead of being influenced by negativity and hardships in life.
